He is also known for his revolutionary contribution to the science of inner transformation, with an approach to meditation that acknowledges the accelerated pace of contemporary life. His unique "Active Meditations" are designed to first release the accumulated stresses of body and mind, so that it is easier to experience the thought free and relaxed state of meditation.

What is Meditation & what are the benefits?

Meditation is a self healing process to help with reducing stress and attaining a peaceful mind. By practicing regularly, stress levels are reduced and a healthier mindset is achieved. Chronic stress & unhealthy lifestyles can often lead to disease of the body; hence the importance to reduce stress levels of the mind before the body takes the toll. Meditation takes one’s focus away from external influences in our everyday lives, thus allowing the mind to shift its attention from negative factors to a more positive thought form. Regular practices also helps the aspirant gains a wonderful sense of self.

What is Osho active meditation?

For example, when the body is under extreme stress, or when the mind is anxious, it is unable to release tension by sitting still, and hence, a more active means of release is necessary to help direct these blocked energies out of the body.

Osho Active meditation beings with using the techniques of catharsis (physical Cleansing) to lead to a deeper state of relaxation and stronger connection to the inner being. It is especially designed for people who have much tension and restlessness to get rid of before they can calm their minds to sit still in silence.

In the catharsis phase music, dancing, humming, deep breathing, shaking, laughter etc. are used to release physical & emotional tension as a preparation for tuning inwards during quiet meditation. The experience is fun, and physically and mentally liberating.

Osho Meditation is Non-religious.
